Latroit (Dennis White) is a GRAMMY® Award-winning, certified platinum-selling artist responsible for era-defining classics that helped shape the sound of dance music for three decades.

In 2024, he produced History of House, featuring Soweto Gospel Choir performing house music classics in Zulu. The album reached #1 on the U.S. College Radio charts, received an ARIA Award nomination for Best Global Album, and was named KCRW’s #10 Album of the Year.

Following a performance of the album at the KCRW Summer Nights season finale, White founded Latroit House Ensemble, a live band dedicated to reimagining and preserving the culture of house music through live performance.

From an early start in the Detroit underground, to the cultural embrace of his recent work, Latroit’s music holds history in one hand, and the future in the other.
